Hot Tuna Pinwheel Bites

Turn up the heat on your Saturday night. Mix and mingle with cocktail-hour finger food that’s sure to please and whet appetites all around for a delicious night ahead.

Ingredients

  • All purpose flour for dusting
  • 1 pound prepared pizza dough
  • 3 tablespoons sundried tomato pesto
  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 (5 ounce) cans Genova Yellowfin Tuna in Olive Oil, drained
  • ¼ cup pitted kalamata olives, coarsely chopped
  • ¼ cup basil, coarsely chopped
  • ½ cup prepared marinara sauce, for dipping, warm, optional

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a 12-count muffin tin with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Place dough on a lightly floured work surface and roll out to a rectangle about 9x16 inches. Spread pesto over dough. Sprinkle with cheese, tuna, olives and basil. Beginning with a long edge, roll dough snugly into a log. Slice into 12 pieces and place in prepared muffin tin. Bake until golden brown and puffed in the middle, about 18 minutes.
  3. Serve hot with marinara sauce for dipping if desired.
